Chuck's mom grew up in Rigby, Idaho. His grandma still lives there. We had a family reunion at the end of July to celebrate Grandma Taylor's 90th birthday. A few weeks ago, we learned that Grandma has cancer that started in her colon, and has metastasized into her lungs. She does not want to fight it, so we know she does not have much time left. It was so great that we got to see her, and our kids got to see her and meet those relatives, and visit that area, and make those memories while she is still here. It was really hard and sad for Chuck to say goodbye, but we are SO glad we made the trip there and had that time together. All of grandma's living siblings were there, and each had a member of their family get up and speak about their memories. Chuck was nominated to be the one to share memories of Grandma Taylor.

Very sweet. I'm glad you were able to go. I have a Grandma Taylor, too! congrats to her for making it to 90! That's awesome!
