The Fourth of July Celebrations

We went to a 4th of July parade in Tannersville.

Waiting for the Parade to start...

Carson looks thrilled to have Cheyanna on his shoulders!  :)

Cheyanna just loves her cousin, Madeline.

The local fire company is named after my great grandfather, Harry Davis Lane.

Back to Stewarts for banana splits!

Cousins bundled up watching fireworks.  :)

Lanesville, NY

We flew to New York on July 2 to spend a couple of weeks up in the beautiful mountains with Grandma, Beecher, Aunt Dina, Uncle Scott, and cousins.  We stayed at Grandma's house, and the cousins stayed at a rental house just up the road.  Here's Charlie at Stewart's.  It's our favorite ice cream place that makes the best banana splits ever!

All the cousins playing Headbandz in the basement.

Pioneer Trek

Charlie and Carson went on our Stake's pioneer trek in June 2014.  I was proud of them that they went and they had good experiences.  I heard lots of good things about Carson on the trek, and how he had a great attitude and was helpful to others.  What a good kid!  I got to drive a carload of kids up to the trek site.  It was a little stressful because my car battery died at the stake center right before we left!  Someone gave me a jump, and I made sure to keep my car running for the whole drive up and back.  :)
Before the trek...

After the trek.  The boys came home so dirty and tired! Carson had blisters on his poor feet.

June 2014

It's summertime, and here are some random moments from June...We had fun swimming in the Naef's pool.

Elder Price was a missionary that served in our ward for 6 months.  Our whole family just loved him.  Here he is posing with Charlie after I gave him and Elder Johnson haircuts.
We watched Isaac and Elijah Wach a few times over the summer.  Cheyanna and Cade were super helpful babysitting the boys.

It's hot, hot, HOT outside!  This is what I look like after going on an early morning run.  Yikes!
We took some selfies while waiting for Dad at a disc golf park in Mesa.

Summer basketball!  Here is the team on their way to a game.  We had fun watching Charlie play the whole month of June.
Everyone looks forward to Granny's visits!

Last Day of School

Pics from the last day of school.  Cheyanna 4th grade and Cade 6th grade.  May 23, 2014.

Cade's 6th grade Graduation from Noah Webster School

Cade graduated from Noah Webster School in May 2014.  Granddad and Sandra came to the ceremony.  He is the first of our kids to go to Noah Webster all the way from Kindergarten through 6th grade.  He had fun on the Grand Canyon field trip.  Cade also had the best teacher ever this year, Mrs. Silvas.  He wasn't too sad to say goodbye to all of his friends, because he was excited to move on to Smith Junior High.  :)

Cheyanna's 4th Grade awards ceremony

Cheyanna got an award for being on the top honor roll all year.  Her original teacher, Mrs. Mitchell, had to quit teaching because of her husband's health problems at the end of the first quarter.  The second quarter the class had lots of subs, but finally ended up with Ms. Andreen as their teacher for the rest of the year.
