We went to Las Vegas for one of Charlie's club team's basketball tournaments in July. We took the whole family and made a little mini-vacation out of it. We stayed at a hotel off the strip that had a fun pool and hot tub, and a huge free breakfast every morning. The younger kids had a lot of fun swimming. Charlie's basketball games were expensive to attend, so most of the time, Chuck and I would go and leave the younger three to hang out, watch TV, and play on the computer at the hotel while we watched the games. It was good for them to get some time to relax and lie low here and there. We all went to Circus Circus together one day and the kids had a blast playing the carnival games and watching the free circus acts that show every half hour. We also ate at the all-you-can-eat buffet there, and stuffed ourselves on a variety of kid-friendly foods. Charlie's team played pretty well, and Charlie had a lot of fun hanging out with his teammates in their hotel while we were swimming with the younger three. ![]() |
| The kids kept getting their ball stuck on top of the waterfall, and Chuck had to work hard to get it down. |

| I loved these fans that waved over the breakfast dining area. So different from a traditional ceiling fan--tropical and fun. |
