Charlie's favorite basketball coach at Skyline announced in May 2012 that he would be leaving Skyline and taking over as head coach for Mesquite High School. Dustin Cooper was a great coach and mentor for Charlie. He believed in Charlie and instilled a lot of confidence in him. Coach Cooper worked with Charlie one-on-one a lot, teaching him post moves. He also liked to measure Charlie every month, and was so excited as Charlie kept growing. We had a little get-together so parents and players could come and say goodbye to Coach Dustin Cooper before he left.
