January and February 2016

It's a new year, and Chuck is modeling some of his Christmas gifts (new clothes from Dina).
We started the New Year off in Young Women's by having Penny Turley teach us some self-defense moves.

Charlie went as my date for my SAGE Counseling work party.
Charlie decided to quit Tohono O'odham Community College and move back home.  He hated the atmosphere there.  He is going to Mesa Community College this semester and taking a break from basketball.
Charlie needed a way to get to school and work, so we bought him his first car: a 2006 Nissan Altima

Grandma and Beecher came to visit in January.  They planned the trip so they could watch some of Charlie's college basketball games, but since he quit, they just enjoyed spending time with us.  On Civil Rights Day, we took a ride on the Dolly Steamboat at Saguaro Lake.
Me and my Mom

It was a windy day, but perfect for a boat ride!

We got to see some mountain goats and other wildlife.

Cute pic of Daddy and daughter

These silly girls taking selfies at Dairy Queen!
I took Cheyanna and her friend, Carly, shopping at the mall for dresses for their 6th grade dance activity at Noah Webster.  These girls do not love shopping, but we survived!

Out to dinner at Brio Tuscan Grille as a family

Cade was a National Academic League team captain this year, and the team made it to Nationals!

And here's the dress we picked for the dance

She looks way too grown up!  She had a lot of fun at the party.

Cheyanna

Cheyanna's 6th grade science project was about how fast wood burns with different treatments on it.

Sweetest picture ever!  Cheyanna loves her little Panda.

I love playing Beanie Boos with this cutie pie.

I love this quote!

Happy Birthday, my love!  We visited all the free food places to celebrate.  :)

Panda is adorable!

Carson got asked to Winter Formal by Abigail Mather.  They had a fun group of kids going to dinner and the dance together.  What made this a very memorable date was the fact that they got into a minor car accident on the way to the dance.  Abigail rear-ended Jessica Richards' car, and the air bags went off in Abby's car, leaving Carson with a bruise on his face.  I was at the Stake Fair when Colleen and I heard the news, and we left to meet up with the kids and figure out a way to get Abby's car home.  Nobody was hurt (more than bruised), and they pulled themselves together and went to the dance.  Fun times!  Feb 2016

I snapped this pic of Abby's car as they were heading off to dinner and pictures.  This poor car was totaled by the end of the night!
