| These markers are all along the Freedom Trail to show the way to go. |
We took a day trip from Lanesville to Boston, MA. We had never been there, and Chuck had always wanted to go to a Red Sox game in Fenway Park. So we made the 3 1/2 hour drive to the city, and took a walking tour of the Freedom Trail, which took us all around town to lots of historical sights. Then Chuck, Charlie, and Cade hopped on the subway to catch a baseball game, while Carson, Cheyanna and I walked about 7 miles to the museum of contemporary art, where they let you in free on Thursdays after 5pm. The best part of the day for me was stopping at some little Italian dessert shops to try the gelato and canoli. Carson and Cheyanna were troopers, and even though it was a warm day, they walked and walked and walked all over that town! Then we drove back to Lanesville that night. Long, exhausting day, but so worth it to see something new and experience a little bit of our country's history.
